Menstruation. Period. That time of the month. Shark week. Riding the crimson tide…whatever you call your period, there’s a good chance you don’t look forward to its monthly arrival.

Some lucky women make it through their monthly menstrual cycle with nary a symptom (aside from the main indicator that they’re not pregnant). Alas, we have no choice but to pound the Midol, pull on a pair of sweatpants, and wait it out.
