Hello everyone, and welcome back to our Glamorous Corset YouTube channel.
On today’s episode we will be talking about how to store your corset.
All corsets purchased from Glamorous Corset will come with a storage pouch, with our logo, drawstring as you can see and they come in a variety of sizes to accommodate our different corset styles. It’s velvet, machine washable and is excellent for storing your corset.
Now let me show you, this is our Jade corset that I have right here in front of me, and the way we store our corsets, is once we’re done wearing the corset, we take it off and simply collect the excess lacing. I like to straighten mine out and nicely place it inside my corset. We never roll our corsets, only fold them, one and two. This is what your corset should look like prior to putting the corset in the storage pouch. There you have it.
Once you have your corset in your storage pouch, you can place your pouch inside your drawer in your closet or even travel with it, it’s very convenient to place it in your luggage and once you’re ready to use it you can easily find your corset. If you wanted to, you can even hang your pouch up in case you do not want to place it in your drawer or in your closet and prefer to hang your corset, another option would be to simply grab the drawstring and hang it in your closet as such. So, your corset would be hanging with the rest of your clothing. This is another option of storing your corset.
If you prefer not a store your corset in a storage pouch, another method for storing would simply be to hang the corset up in your closet using a hanger. I would open up my corset once I am done using it, and I would slide the corset onto the hanger with the fashion fabric on the outside and the inside of my corset is on the hanger. So, I would not want to use my outer fabric, just in case because I would not want the hanger to damage it especially if my outer fabric is satin, or brocade or has gemstones. This is how it would look and again the hanger is resting on the inside of your corset and you would simply hang it up in your closet. So, this is how this option would look.
Having a corset storage pouch is a great way to keep your corset safe, to keep it away from spillage or from anything else that may cause damage to your corset. When it is stored safely in a pouch, somewhere in your drawer or in your closet, you know exactly where it is and you can quickly find it when need be.

My name is Rachel, I am the owner of Glamorous Corset, a small business founded by me in 2010. Back In 2005, I was in a car accident that left me with a herniated disk. Much to my surprise I learned steel boned corsets were beneficial to several medical injuries including mine. I was always intrigued with corsetry, their history and their beautiful aesthetic. I love sharing knowledge about corsets, educating my wonderful readers and breaking the negative stigma related to corsetry. In combination with my years of research and personal experience I hope my articles are useful and can help anyone who has struggled with some of the same things I have. More about me…
