I bought this as an introductory support garment for LARP and historybounding.* Rather than having my long skirts dig into my waist all day, it’s much easier to have a corset that holds them up for me. I have never worn a corset before so I figured I’d go with something less expensive to start out. The staff member who responded to my email was very thoughtful when helping me choose the right size for my intended uses. For the price, I was really impressed with the quality. The corset is well-made with sturdy cotton; there are zero loose threads, the edges are nicely piped, and it doesn’t feel like any of the bones are in danger of poking out. I lace it very comfortably and it gives me a lovely hourglass shape. I wear it with a comfy sports bra and a camisole underneath; even though it’s an underbust corset, it supports the weight of my boobs by giving them a sort of shelf to sit on. It might be a touch bulky under modern clothes, but it works great with the many layers of historical and fantasy clothing! To my untrained eye, it creates a shape similar to the Symington Pretty Housemaid corsets of the 1890s (without the bust, of course). It’s a support garment, so it’s not going to be, like, pajama-level comfy… but compared to some of the bras I own, it’s definitely more comfortable over a longer period of time, and it doesn’t dig into me at the edges like modern shapewear does. And it holds up heavy skirts without issue! The real test will come when LARP events start up again and I’m wearing this thing for an entire weekend…
* Just a heads up for historybounders – the modesty panel is sewn in and not easily removable, so keep that in mind if you want to be able to remove it.

I absolutely love this corset for training. I got it in the beige for a change and to wear with lighter colored shirts. I love the structure and fit. At first I was worried my torso was not long enough but it’s fine. I am trusting customer service. I gave them my measurements and my goal and they recommended this corset. I feel secure and I love that the laces are long so I can pull and tighten. I just finished the seasoning period. Time to tighten up!

Love it! I’ve never worn a corset before and I was super nervous to spend a bunch of money on something that didn’t fit right or wasn’t comfortable. The customer service at Glamorous Corset is outstanding and I have been very happy with my first corset! So much so, that I bought my second one from GC as well! Both corsets are great quality, have stood up to daily wear for 10 to 12 hours at a time and stay comfortable all day long. I have made lots of progress on my waist size with the corsets. I’ve been waist training for almost a year now and this is my latest (and favorite) corset. I’ve only wore it for about a week, and it’s my first cotton one, so I’m giving it 4-stars for now, and I will return later, after I’ve worn it longer, for a final more thorough review. The main thing I noticed so far is that it’s stiffer and bulkier than my other corsets (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing), but I believe this is because it’s cotton. All my other corsets are mesh or satin. It appears well made, but I won’t be able to say for sure until I’ve worn it longer. I love the large hip and rib spring on it (which is why I bought it in the first place), as a lot of the corsets I have put too much pressure on my hips and ribs (hips mainly) when fully closing them, and this one puts zero pressure on my hips and ribs, so I can easily constrain / focus on my waist which is what I’m training in the first place.
